Life at the M.T.C.

Hello family and friends!!! I am already doing so well at the MTC I really am already loving being here!! I have been able to already do many things this week!! On Wednesday when I arrived I was shown the buildings and then I was welcomed into the MTC! I then had a large meeting with all the other Elders and Sisters and that was truly awe inspiring especially when we sang the Armies of Helaman!! When we sang We are NOW the Lords Missionaries it was so spiritual!! Then we had our first meal and the food has been really good so far I don't have any complaints! After dinner we were able to see missionary work in action and were able to teach 3 people but there were 20 missionaries in the room so the lesson was scattered a lot!! Thursday the first full day, I was able to go to class and start learning Spanish! The teachers only spoke Spanish that day and I mostly understood what they were saying but I still have a lot to learn but hey its only the 4th day!! We also had a workshop on Thursday about finding people and our purpose. It was a wonderful opportunity and I can already feel a Christlike love for pepole who want and need the gospel. Also, on Thursday my companion Elder Cazier (pronounced cuz air) was made District Leader and I became the Senior Companion I know that Elder Cazier will do a wonderful job because he knows the most Spanish.  This is really helpful to me so that I can push myself extra hard in order to learn and speak it.  Thursday we met our Branch Presidency for the first time and our Branch President challenged us to memorize 5 scriptures in both English and Spanish before the end of our stay at the MTC. Then on Friday we had to teach our first investigator in Spanish!!! I was so nervous but when the time came Elder Cazier and I were able to actually do a good job!! Our investigators name is Ivan he wants to change his life because he has a daughter and he wants him and his daughter to have a good life.  We actually were able to invite him to be baptized and he said yes!!!! We were so happy!! Then we had some more classes. Something cool I learned this week is that when I obey with exact obedience miracles happen!!!
Love you all!!!

Today was a bitter sweet day for us the parents. We are so proud of Nick, yet realize we will miss him for 2 years.
Nick, on the other hand is so excited, I think he forgot he even had a family as he nearly ran us over getting into the MTC. Just kidding, but he is very excited.
Nick has good looking parents!

Brotherly love?
